Our Story

Dinoplanters was founded in Brisbane in 2013 by Marnie. Why use an ordinary pot for your plant when it could be on the back of a prehistoric pet? 

Pretty soon Dinoplanters were overtaking the house and fighting over territory. Before long, Marnie was sharing the love of these bright and quirky dinos at local Brisbane markets and then later in Canberra at the popular Handmade Canberra Market. The business continued to grow with Dinoplanters rocking the decor world and the result is the range of planters available today.

- Fast forward to the beginning of 2019 -

Dinoplanters were stocked in the colourful gift shop 'Anna & Co. Artisan Homewares and Gifts' in Uralla, NSW which stocked Australian designed and made products. Dinoplanters loved to show off in the windows and were always attracting attention. 

At the end of 2019, Anna had the opportunity to acquire the Dinoplanter business and continues to hand paint the colourful Dinoplanter range available. 

In the future, Anna is moving to Perth, WA. Anna & Co will remain in Uralla and as of April 2020 moved into a smaller shop within the creative hub of the Little Birdy Hangar where you can find a range of Dinoplanters.

Dinoplanter HQ is currently in the old shearers quarters on the family property out of Uralla, NSW. Dinoplanters share the space with Anna's other creative business Anna Sutherland where she designs and screen-prints lengths of fabrics. 

We hope to pop up at some markets once we get back in the groove, but in the meantime find Dinoplanters online and at Anna & Co in Little Birdy, 38 Hill Street, Uralla, NSW, 2358.
